Max Matthiessen Denmark
The Nordic insurance brokerage group Max Matthiessen was established in Sweden in 1889 and is today one of the largest insurance brokers in Sweden.
In June 2024, Max Matthiessen acquired Deloitte Pension Management Brokers, one of the leading brokerage houses in Denmark. This marks the first step for the Max Matthiessen brand in the Danish market.
At Max Matthiessen Insurance Brokers Denmark, we have 27 employees and we are an independent insurance brokerage company authorised by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, whose values are rooted in professionalism, ethics, transparency and independence.
With a unique business model, we can offer the necessary overview in an opaque market and help you make the right decisions. We are an indispensable collaboration and sparring partner that makes both the company and its employees stronger.

We don’t sell our own products, we are not paid by suppliers or enter into partnerships with them. We are subject to the strict requirements and guidelines of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and we also fulfill Max Matthiessen’s quality standards and strict requirements for independence and impartiality.
Specialised advice in depth
We use both the pension companies’ own advisors to advise employees as well as our own highly specialised advisors depending on what the customer wants.
Our task is to ensure that employees receive the best possible advice so that both company and employee get the most out of their pension and healthcare scheme.
We continuously follow up on coverage and terms to ensure that they are adapted to the needs of the company and the individual. In this way, we ensure that employees have the correct cover before an injury occurs.

Our background
- Max Matthiessen Insurance Brokers P/S originated from Deloitte Pension Management, which was established in December 2014
- We are a small team of 45 employees, based at Silkegade 8 in central Copenhagen
- We work with pension schemes and health insurance for companies ranging from smaller NGOs to C25 companies
- We also work with high-net-worth clients who need to invest larger pension assets, as well as holding companies and VSOs / business taxation schemes (Virksomhedsskatteordninger)
- Last but not least, we work with preventive health in the form of health analyses and the establishment of health clinics at larger clients
