We protect your personal integrity, and it is important that you feel safe with our processing of your personal data. In this document, we tell you more about our processing of personal data. The information is directed towards customers of Max Matthiessen Insurance Brokers Cph P/S.

  • Your name, age, date of birth, civil identification number (CPR number), gender, phone number, home address, country of residence; passport; visa; family circumstances (e.g. civil status and contact details of dependents) and close relatives, photo, email address, title, employee identification number, employment and education details (e.g. previous employment and educational details), salary and pension information; leaves of absence; bank account details; tax-related information and investments.

We may also collect the following types of sensitive personal data for the purpose specified above:

  • Trade union membership
  • Health status data
Legal Basis of the Processing

We collect and process your data based on the following legal basis:

  • Consent from you (article 6.1 (a))
  • Performance of obligations towards you according to a contract with you or your employer (article 6.1 (b))
  • Legal obligations to which Max Matthiessen Insurance Brokers Cph P/S is subject (article 6.1(c))
  • Legitimate Interests of Max Matthiessen Insurance Brokers Cph P/S (article 6.1(f)); to ensure an effective operation of our business and to be able to deliver a good service to you.
From where do we collect your data?

We collect your data from you as well as from public authorities, pension companies, insurance provider, banks, legal and other third party advisors, and your employer.

Recipients of the Data

In connection with one or more purposes outlined above, your personal data may be disclosed to and shared with the following recipients: public authorities, our professional advisors (e.g. auditor and legal advisors), service and IT vendors, and suppliers; other Max Matthiessen entities, or third parties to which Max Matthiessen under law is required to deliver your personal data to.

Time of Storage

We store the personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, however, for no longer than necessary for the purposes, and to meet legal requirements.

Your Rights

Information and access to personal data
You have the right to require rectification of inaccurate personal data. You also have the right to require the addition of additional personal data which is missing. Furthermore, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. We will assess each request and delete the personal data if we have the legal right to do so according to, for example, the Insurance Mediation Act.

Restriction of processing
Under certain circumstances, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.

Object to the processing
Under certain circumstances, you have the right to object to our processing of personal data. We must then cease to process the data unless we can demonstrate a compel-ling legitimate interest to process the data, which overrides your interests, rights or freedoms, or if the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Data portability
You have the right to require that the personal data which you have provided to Max Matthiessen in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, shall be transmitted to another data controller. The right to data portability is contingent on our processing of the personal data in question being based on consent (art. 6.1.a) or the performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b).

Automated Decision-Making

Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision-making or profiling.
